Sounds produced by swimbladder-related mechanisms usually comprise low-frequency pulses produced at different rates.
Fishes

Hoots are relatively short sounds (ca 30 ms), with frequencies below 1 kHz, and made up of waveforms that are nearly sinusoidal. Pops consist of a series of pulse emissions with main energies up to 2–3 kHz. The interpop interval is about 65 ms. The most frequently heard sounds in the field are courtship sounds, that consist mainly of grunts, moans and growls. This program is an immersion in sound and music.
