« Berliner Runde » Colaboradio
The Dutch artist Nickel van Duijvenboden has been working in Berlin for several months, as part of a residency programme called Air Berlin Alexanderplatz. Together with Beatrijs Dikker of the residency, and Rosanna Lovell of Colaboradio, he discusses how his research originated, and the many reasons why he was drawn to the composer Hanns Eisler (1898-1962).
During their talk, they touch on subjects like handwritten correspondence, artist friendships, translation, analog media, the films of Straub-Huillet, Brecht, Eisler's relation to his master Schönberg, and the clash between "bourgeois" and activism in art today and in the past.
