fugitive radio an urban artistic-research project initiated by Sumugan Sivanesan about radio as a social practice. It is concerned with minority politics, free and open source technology, contemporary art and music. It was initiated in 2020 with Pixelache Helsinki, supported by Kone Foundation. It participated in documenta fifteen, 2022, and traveled to Brazil later that year during the presidential elections to collaborate on a local radio with Lanchonete.org, São Paulo. It benefitted when Sumugan was a resident at Jan van Eyck Academie 2022-23. In 2023 it launched fugitive productions on Bandcamp to publish music produced for podcasts and made during workshops. https://fugitive-radio.net/
