A mini-mix by DJ Idiyappam, featuring club sounds by diasporic producers connecting to India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, follows a trajectory of post-jungle and post-techno musics. DJ Idiyappam’s vibe mix curiously does not include State of Bengal, a recording and sound system project founded by the late British-Bengali producer and educator Sam Zaman. So it is followed by a short montage of interviews with Sam Zaman and his collaborators about the enduring legacy of State of Bengal. This podcast is rounded off with an short audio self-portrait, initially made for the SAY_A_SOY radio series on ASSOY Radio by Berlin’s Soy Division.
