Brane Zorman is a composer, intermedia artist, sound man-i-pul-ator and producer based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He has composed music for more than 60 theatre, dance, multimedia and newmedia sound pieces, sound sculptures and sound field recordings, and has released several theatre soundtrack CDs and dance EPs for various record labels. He composes music for film, TV and radio commercials. His achievements include the first DTS-surround-encoded soundtrack for a theatre performance and the first DTS surround CD release in Slovenia. He has a strong interest in special sound design, effects and sound sculptures – soundscapes (natural and synthetic), as well as live performance CTR series (in duration-defined sound art compositions) using surround sound spatialisation technology. He is a co-author of the world renowned Internettikka Balllettikka guerilla Internet projects along with intermedia artist Igor Štromajer (Intima). With Irena Pivka, he co-founded the "CONA Institute for Contemporary Art Processing", which produces the intermedia projects radioCona – A Temporary Project Radio for Contemporary Arts and ZVO.ČI.TI so.und.ing – A Podcast Collection of Slovenian Contemporary Sound Art and publishes artists’ books.
