For Works for Radio the five artists have made five new, unique works. The works will be in rotation at www.thelakeradio.com and presented at Borealis festival (NO), Radiophrenia (SCT) and Colaboradio (DE).
This years Works for Radio has the theme "Life at the bottom of the lake". What myths, treasures, trash or creatures are living under the immense pressure, shielded from our attention, daylight and air? What needs to be salvaged and what needs to stay? The theme can be interpreted specifically, fluidly, politically or as a metaphor for any proces, question or practice the artists might carry with them.
The Lake Radio is a non-profit art initiative in the shape of an online radio station. The Lake Radio is a constant stream of music, sounds and radio art from all times, all countries, and in all languages – for curious listeners to be challenged and inspired.
This series is dedicated to broadcasting various forms of radio and transmission art.
