Todays special Guest is Akkamiau, otherwise known as Lena Kocisova (akkamiau / hithertoo ) – Sound Artist and Composer: http://akkamiau.weebly.com
In context of recent changes across the world, such as passing strict abortion laws in USA, or overview of countries where the abortion is illegal, we discuss the issue from general and personal perspective. Show features akkamiau's latest composition InTerjeCtions, commissioned by IMA Institut für Medienarchäologie and premiered at Interdisciplinary festival The Art of Reproduction in WAHLBÜRO XX TÉCHNE 6.0, St. Pölten AU, 11. 4. 2019.
akkamiau - InTerjeCtions (EP) A quadraphonic sound performance presents a granulated message of vibrational mantras. The vocal parts of the composition originate from narrations of the women who made a choice at a certain point of their life and now they come forward and share their stories. In order to interpret subjective feelings through the music and sound, recorded interviews are granulated into soundbites, revealing and emphasizing the hidden message of emotionally loaded sentences. Speech is transformed into emphatic expression, and substitutes the role of the emotional and cognitive interjections in linguistics with the healing power of the sound. The final composition is devoted to representing the mystical law of simultaneity of cause and effect.

Statistically women* are still underrepresented in most forms of media. In this instance we take raising your voice literally and produce a one hour show featuring women*'s voices. elle dit invites all women* in Berlin to make contributions - participating in a live show, contributing music, sound pieces, stories, interviews, readings, or any other kind of audio contribution. Although we focus on creative and cultural work and women* in the arts, contributions from all fields are welcome. Beginning in English and German, the show also aims to include contributions in other languages. elle dit is an inclusive platform which takes an intersectional and feminist approach to making radio and aims to include all women* (female identifying, trans, queer,…). Anyone interested can contact Colaboradio with the subject: elle dit.
